The plane that took us to Taiwan. I like SIA cos I think the food very nice. Plus it has quite up-to-date movies. It even had ANTM and 康熙來了 though only 1 episode. 小S can host so much better than Selina!
桃園 Airport. I wanted to take a picture of Jolin and 吳導's "Welcome to Taiwan" standing cardboard thingy but there were people standing near it so I paiseh. That's why I took F4 instead.
The place where tourists wait for their tour buses. Taiwan tour buses are quite big which is very good cos it means you have lots of leg space. And we got those big tour bus too even though our tour group only consists of 14 people! I initially thought we would like have a mini bus or something. Quite cold there cos the wind was blowing. We were waiting for the bus when we realised my brother's luggage lock got stuck. So suay hor.
The tour guide. His name is Thomas. He was the reason why I got pissed on several occasions in Taiwan (more later) but he has his redeeming points too. He's damn good in history and I like to hear him talking about it. He knows German too. But the most important thing is he called me 美女 lalala~Even so I reckon as a tour guide you dun really tell the tourists how Taiwan suffers from typhoons and earthquakes frequently. Or at least you wouldn't want to tell your tourists you HOPED that they could experience an earthquake during their stay in Taiwan cos Singapore doesn't have any.
Our first stop was 六褔村主題樂園 at 台中. This theme park has a safari and 6 different mini theme parks, no idea whether the safari is considered a theme park of its own too lazy to check haha. Anyway this damn rich Taiwan guy built this theme park according to Disneyland when it was built in US then, so it's kinda like a TW version of Disneyland. This TW version of Disneyland was empty except for 國小 students, random TW teenagers and few tourists groups. Which meant we didn't have to queue up for rides.
The safari ride which I thought was quite amazing cos the animals there were not kept in enclosures. They had the freedom to move anywhere they want. Which was quite scary come to think of it, imagine the lions and tigers pouncing upon the bus.
More random animals.
We only managed to visit the Arabian theme park cos the whole place closes at 5.30pm during winter. That big round wheel thingy, you will go round it 360 degrees which means you have to be upside down at some point. I was screaming like nuts there cos when you are fully upside down in that ride, it means you are at the top of the wheel thingy. So your feet will be lifted off the ground. Scary but exciting. Then there's the merry-go-round. The park had a very nice roller-coaster too. It's like the seats are not exactly joined together, you have individual booths for 2 linked together. These booths spin on their own while moving on the roller-coaster track. So double the scariness and excitement.
The park in the dark.
I am feeling very lazy and I want to watch the Bonjour Paris DVD clips. More tomorrow.
